A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

A funny 2 players 2D game !

This is the first complete video game I have ever made.

the game

Each player controls a tank: the goal is to destroy the other tank.

But bullets bounce on walls:

there are also walls that speed up bullets:

teleportation portals (bullet only):

and an unfriendly skull:

various information

about controls

  • Before starting a game both players have to press their "fire!" button. This button is shown in the tutorial.
  • You can come back to the main menu through the pause menu (esc).
  • If you have an AZERTY keyboard you will need to change manually the keyboard setting to AZERTY. Otherwise, the green tank will be almost unplayable.
  • The QWERTZ keyboard setting works also for QWERTY because both need WASD keys to move (green tank).

about the game

  • The color of the teleportation portals does not always indicate where they lead, so you will need to understand how they work before your opponent in order to take advantage.
  • Each teleportation portal is the finish point of another (or several others) but is not always the starting point for the latter: If A leads to B, B doesn't lead always to A.
  • This game is made with the GODOT Game engine.

my aim in sharing this game

When I started this project, I didn't think to share it. I just wanted to try to make a game close to one I played when I was younger (Tank Trouble). My goal was to learn how to develop games. But finally my game is very different (even if the base is the same).  I'm sharing it because I'd like many people to have fun with it.

I will probably not improve this game but I would like (if possible) to know what you think about it (what you like and what you don't); that way I will know what to care about in possible future projects.
